The changing nature of the University of Denver

What’s going on?

This week I — along with two other classmates — set out to capture the work in progress of a construction site at the University of Denver. The campus has been undergoing various renovations, including new parking lots, new housing, new sidewalks, and new buildings.

What we observed

Our area of focus here is a construction site that is located between the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and Nelson Hall. Situated in this spot, prior to its take down, was Aspen Hall.

The ultimate goal

The completion of landscape work there will improve walkways on campus, in addition to reducing water usage on campus.

Drawbacks right now

This construction has blocked off a principal area on the campus that has caused a detour for many students walking to and from class.
